On August 19th, Genius IQ/BBQ returned by celebrating The 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop in the city where it all started: New York City.
Hosted at The Knockdown Center in Queens, IQ/BBQ paired hip-hop legends Clipse with an impressive roster of newcomers for a day of exciting performances and music-fueled activations.
The IQ/BBQ experience was brought to life in partnership with our sponsors–Paco Rabanne, INFINITI, Patrón, and Showtime’s The Chi–who all took part in helping NYC celebrate experience 50 years of greatness.
So What Did I Do?
‘50 Years’ IQ/BBQ Event Strategy
I led a team in shaping the event strategy for celebrating 50 years of hip-hop lyrics IRL. I crafted a comprehensive strategy that celebrated hip-hop's evolution and cultural impact.
Creative Development
I played a key role in the creative direction of the event itself, collaborating closely with our production partner. This involved everything from curating a diverse lineup to designing a logo and selecting iconic lyrics to adorn the event space.
Brand Partnership Pitches
I created pitch materials for Genius IQ/BBQ, integrating activations for brands and custom partnership opportunities. This approach ensured meaningful collaborations that authentically engaged with our audience.
Music Expertise
I took great pride in this project and felt like it was the perfect project to leverage my knowledge of music. With each step, I ensured the experience truly brought out 50 years of hip-hop greatness.
